The San Antonio Gear Grinders was
started in 1951
and is the oldest Texas car club still in operation.
We are the 2nd oldest still in operation in the United States.
We celebrated our 70th anniversary in 2021.
Members throughout the club's lifetime have been active in the community,
been shop owners and car builders with cars featured in magazines.

Gear Grinders are a non for profit
organization created in 1951 of San Antonio drag racers and hot rodders.
The club has been in operation ever since. If you have a car/truck and you
are interested in membership, you can join us in our monthly meetings,
